"I couldn't be more happy to have Rozanne by side."

Amber Jensen zoom

"My Journey towards a better me started in December 2011. I made a conscious decision to put myself first, which meant my physical and mental health needed a check. I started in the gym working on increasing my strength and reducing my stress. I was referred to Rozanne through a dear friend of mine, who said it would be a life changing moment. Well let me tell you she was not wrong! In the fall of 2012 I met the most amazing woman who has inspired me, held me accountable, taught me to forgive my struggles and encouraged me while I built my confidence.

The Diet Doc is not simply any other diet, I would hesitate to even call it a diet in the first place. It is a science, a healthy lifestyle. It helped me realize that food is not an emotional coping tool, but fuel for my body. It taught me how to enjoy the foods I love without feeling guilty or ashamed. So not only has this healthy lifestyle helped me loose 80lbs, I have become a strong, confident and healthy woman.

I have just started my next life adventure and I couldn't be more happy to have Rozanne by side. She is coaching me through my first INBF Canada Bikini Competition. I know I am in good hands. I have the nutritional science of The Diet Doc and an experienced coach behind me. That stage... is mine!"

"I have been with Rozanne Pyper & Diet Doc twice, the first time I was helped in the loss of 92 Lbs. Unfortunately I fell off the so called “wagon” and gained back 80 of those Lbs. which I would like to say is the first time

I did not gain more than I had lost. I contacted Rozanne and have now lost 45 Lbs. this time I intend to stay on track.

I would like to say that Rozanne is very knowledgeable and always has a positive attitude even when I backslide she was caring and non-judgemental.

Would I recommend Rozanne Pyper & Diet Doc – in a heartbeat."

"I couldn't be more happy to have Rozanne by side!"

"I have battled with my weight for a majority of my life.  I thought I was eating healthy so why am I not losing weight?  A friend that I used to work with who also had a passion for fitness was telling me about the diet doc.  I was skeptical then I saw her pictures as she was in a competition. It blew me away how great she looked.  So I contacted Rozanne and started the 6 week program. At first I was overwhelmed by the food tracking, macro amounts and what foods I needed to cut.  But after the first week I had a pretty good handle on what I needed to do and saw results within that first week.  What I especially liked about the program is its all about balance. You weren't cutting any food groups just eating differently and different amounts.  I was amazed on how big my portion size was. It took sacrifice and a lot of self control but in the end I lost that pesky last 13 lbs and gained muscle definition that I never thought I would obtain.  Rozanne was encouraging, helpful and gave me the knowledge to lead a healthier life.  Since I have completed the 6 week program I have kept the weight off and added muscle. If you are tired of battling weight and want a long term solution. Try this program!!!"

"Cannot thank Rozanne enough for giving me the tools and helping me on the path to a newer better me."

Gordon Kroeker zoom

"I first met Rozanne as she was in training for her first body building competition. I was impressed with how enthusiastic and friendly she was, always had time to say hello. I cheered her on as she won that competition and received her pro ticket and went on to do well in international competitions. I was proud to know her; I moved away for a while and so hadn’t seen her for a number of years until I was reintroduced to her which has led to my amazing transformation.

;I grew up in a house where heavy cooking was the norm; I was a typical teenager I could eat all day and not gain a pound. I had my first cigarette when I was 10 or so, by 16 I was seriously addicted. I played football in grades 10 and 11 and I was in the best shape I’d see for over 30 years. I continued to eat and drink heavily throughout my 20’s only having menial type jobs kept me from getting bigger than I did. Periodically I’d try working out in some form or another but it never lasted. I entered my 30’s with a passion for motorcycles and having moved to SE BC I had ample opportunity to ride and took full advantage. The social aspect of riding kept me eating and drinking in large quantities and I was smoking a pack or more per day. In 1997 I moved to Red Deer taking a job in the oil and gas industry. This physically demanding job helped me trim down a bit, but the travel and hours helped keep my eating habits poor. After a year in the field I took a facility based job which involved being on call 24 hours a day for 7 days at a time. This high stress lifestyle took its toll and I gained weight rapidly. I started swimming some mornings before work and felt this would solve my problem.

In the spring of 1999 I was at work, one morning, when I couldn’t catch my breath. I was advised to go to the hospital which fortunately I did. Being an overweight smoker with chest pains I was put at the front of the line, given nitroglycerine, oxygen and morphine while being monitored for a heart attack. It turned out it wasn’t one but I was kept in intensive care for several days while tests were run. I was given a prescription for medication to help stop smoking which advised that I keep smoking for a week while taking the medication to allow it to build up. I had a couple of cigarettes, after leaving the hospital after which I threw them away and have been smoke free since. I was given an angiogram which discovered two blocked arteries one was 60% blocked and one was 90%. As I was awake and facing the monitor during the procedure I saw the arteries and even I could recognize that there was something not right with at least one. I underwent an angioplasty later with several stents installed and have had my blood pressure and cholesterol monitored and kept under control with medication since. I am thankful for my cardiac episode, though it was scary; if it hadn’t happened, when it did, I was a prime candidate for a heart attack within a year. Unfortunately once the smokes were out of my life, food played a bigger part than ever and I gained weight steadily peaking in 2003 at over 310 pounds."

"In 2003, I tried to make some changes by going to a gym. Because I didn’t have a clue what I was doing I saw only minimal results even though I eventually brought my weight below 275. I worked out hard at the gym but I was in the trap of believing that I could eat what I wanted because I worked out. This cycle carried on for the next 8 years.

In 2011 I started a desk job which had long hours, keeping me away from the gym. The position ended in 2012 I decided to spend some time travelling and spent several months in Hawaii obtaining first my Dive Master and Scuba Open Water Instructor certifications and my Dive Boat Mate certification in the Cayman Islands. I continued to gain and lose until the spring of 2013 when I found myself unable to get to my feet unaided. I decided that enough was enough. I joined Snap Fitness and ended up in a similar routine as previous gym experiences, but at least I was moving. I then started fitness classes through the City of Red Deer and felt much fitter but still had no real weight loss. I expressed my frustration to Andrea Davis, the trainer; she suggested I get in touch with Rozanne so in December I met with her for the first time. At that meeting I weighed in at 286 lbs. I was immediately impressed by Roz’s enthusiasm for nutrition and liked what I learned, we agreed that I would start the Diet Doc program in the New Year. I enjoyed a wonderful trip to Hawaii over Christmas and returned eager to begin. At my initial weigh in on January 4, I was 277 lbs. Roz worked out a diet based on my food likes and activity level and an eating schedule tailored to my needs. She explained exactly what was going to happen to my body and what I needed to do to get results. She made no promises and at all times put me at ease and made me comfortable with the process. The daily meal diary was the biggest challenge however I stuck with it and tweaked the supplied spreadsheet to help me plan meals and keep track of the foods I ate.

The results were immediate and beyond my wildest dreams. Within the first week I was down six pounds, and that trend continued, in the first 6 weeks of my new lifestyle I was down 25 pounds. It was not always easy, I was sometimes hungry in the evenings and on weekends, but Roz was always there when I would have a freak out, her daily advice and diet tweaking made the whole process as easy as possible. One of my main challenges was; being an avid reader I have been accustomed to sitting and reading a book for hours, usually with assorted sweet and salty snacks. It was not uncommon for me to down a 2 litre bottle of pop, sausages, chips, peanuts, and chocolates among other food during a day off spent reading. I was happy to discover that I was able to read almost as much without the snacking association causing me to fall off the wagon.

During the 12 week program I went from 277 pounds to 236 pounds and lost a combined 24 inches. In 16 weeks since then I have carried on using the things I learned in the Diet Doc plan and am now 195 pounds and have lost a total of over 41 inches. I am fitter and feel better than I have ever felt in my life and cannot thank Rozanne enough for giving me the tools and helping me on the path to a newer better me."

"I am so glad that I met Rozanne!"

Carolyn zoom

"When I first met with Rozanne, I had my measurements and weight taken before we started my journey. I weighed in at 185 pounds, it was hard to believe that I had put on that much, as I had been going to the gym on a regular bases. I started my journey with Rozanne on September the 28th and do I remember thinking that this was going to be easy. I had also enrolled in an accounting course at the Red Deer College and my old boss had just retired (did not expect that) so I had a new boss. At this point I had taken on three challenges. I really could not have succeeded without the support and encouragement that I received from Rozanne. I felt frustration and mixed emotions, however with every food journal that was forwarded to her was an encouragement that I was going in the right direction. She also helped me out with different ideas and suggestions for my breakfast, lunch snacks and supper. I might add that she encouraged me to do some type of exercise, which really helps. I read the books and followed some of the recipes. Today, at my 8 week mark I weigh 167.4 lbs and I have never felt better. People are making comments and noticing. It is time to go shopping!!! My goal is to weigh 150lbs. I am so glad that I met Rozanne and I could not have met my goals without her being there every step of the way. Thanks Rozanne."

"Rozanne is an Awesome Nutritionist!"

"Rozanne is an awesome nutritionist!!! Thanks to her, I have lost almost 45 pounds in 4 months. I have lost 4 3/4 inches just from my stomach alone. Rozanne is always helpful and makes you feel as if you are her only client. She is a great cheerleader especially when you are feeling discouraged or frustrated. I would and do recommend her to anyone who wants to make a life style change for the better! Thanks for everything Rozanne, you ROCK!!!!!!!!"

"Personal Trainer's Eating Habits Turn Great & Become a Lifestyle"

"I started a 12-week challenge (which I had done before), but I have always reverted back to old nutrition habits... I am a personal trainer and group-exercise instructor so the physical activity is easy for me to implement. I have always done well in my past challenges, but found myself waiting for the 12-weeks to be over so that I could start eating 'normal' again and would inevitably put weight back on (even with the exercise). I decided that I needed to overcome this negative cycle once-and-for-all and pursue a new perspective in order to maintain the results that I was seeking so I hired Rozanne and trusted her guidance throughout my 12-week challenge.

I loved the support, encouragement and accountability that she provided. My main 12-week goal was to lose 18lbs but with Rozanne's and the Diet Doc's help, I actually lost 22lbs! 1-2 lbs per week is considered a safe and healthy goal, so this program is extremely efficient! It is now 2 weeks past my end-date and I am still 110lbs. I feel that I AM eating normal because the Diet Doc program utilizes the food that you eat normally - it just teaches you HOW and WHEN to eat it to achieve great results and keep them. To date, this is the ONLY weight-loss program that I have found that actually teaches you WHY you are doing what you are doing so that you understand HOW to proceed once your commitment to Rozanne and the Diet Doc-Red Deer is over. This is something that you can carry forward throughout your life with confidence. Make no mistake, there is a definite learning curve to the program and it does take commitment and effort on your part, but if you are prepared to invest in your health and education for sustainable results, then this program is for you!"

"Rozanne was with me every step of the way"

"Hello, I’m sure you know me or someone just like me. I’m the one who isn’t exactly obese but sure could loose a few pounds. You know, the one who has love handles hanging over her jeans; the one whose shirt gaps open between the buttons. Safety pins were my best friend. Buying clothes to fit and look nice was impossible. I hated shopping for clothes.

I had always been very active; faithfully doing weights, cardio or yoga 4-6 days a week. I took several exercise classes. I researched healthy eating, read labels and tried several different weight loss programs. I bought several books and actually became more confused as to what was actually healthy. I felt I was always getting conflicting information. No matter what I tried or did I just couldn’t get below 130 and as a matter of fact my weight had started to climb and was 136 lbs. Being 52 years old wasn’t helping me either. My lack of height also hindered me. At only 5’2”, I would joke and say “I’m not over weight, I’m just under tall”. "

"I am so happy to say that was the old me. I met Rozanne. She is not only beautiful on the outside but on the inside as well. She is my hero. She worked with me for 12 weeks giving me encouragement and the best eating advice I have ever had. I know because it worked. I lost 14 lbs in 12 weeks and I have kept it off. I started her Diet Doctor program on May 1, 2011. I won’t lie it wasn’t always easy and it takes a real commitment and hard work especially at first when you are learning about food and nutrition. Believe me the lasting results are worth it. I’m worth it. You are worth it. Rozanne was with me every step of the way, helping with every obstacle, from eating out to an office potluck. She never let me down, always had not just answers but correct answers for any eating dilemma. I love that the Diet Doctor program is real everyday food. I didn’t and still don’t have to make a different meal for my husband. Now that I have all the right eating knowledge it is easy to maintain my new weight. Thankfully my husband hasn’t complained about my new love for clothes shopping. My new skinny jeans fit perfect. I have given away all my old jeans not because I hang over them but because they hang on me. Good bye safety pins. Very sincerely,"

"I’m not only an Owner & Operator, I’m a DD Client! I’ve lost 22lbs & have kept it off"

Rozanne Pyper zoom

"I grew up in a small town of about a hundred people near the Okanagan and was raise by a single Mom in a large family of six. Although there wasn’t a lot of money there was always a lot of good food to go around. My Mom was a terrific cook and provided us with what seemed to be an endless supply of soups, stew with dumplings, spaghetti and sauce, bread, cinnamon buns, cakes, cookies, and canned or fresh fruit. Needless to say I became a carbohydrate junky and definitely always struggled with weight as a teenager because of it. What kid would turn down a hot cinnamon bun fresh out of the oven? May as well have two, right? My interest in weight training stemmed from wanting to get control of the weight situation.

For years I trained and tried different diets, always on a continuum of losing weight only to regain it. It was a vicious cycle. I tried low calorie, high carbohydrate diets, the Atkins Diet, the Zone Diet, and then ended up just eating as I considered normal healthy eating. I remember thinking that my body was just meant to be a certain weight because of genetics. This went on for years of being 10-20 lbs overweight and never being able to achieve and maintain a desired weight.

Early in 2008, I decided to make a lifestyle change and take my body to the extreme. I dieted for my first bodybuilding and figure competition. I did a typical high protein and low carbohydrate diet, putting my body into a ketosis state, and lost over 27 lbs in just 9 weeks. I felt so weak and tired, that it was hard to have enough energy to step on to the stage. I also lost a ton of lean body mass, the very thing you need to keep a high metabolism and look good on stage. Once I started eating carbohydrates and replenished water supplies, my muscles looked like I’d never seen them before.

They were full, muscular and lean looking. So at that point I thought it was wrong that the nutrients that kept me looking my best were the nutrients I was advised to stay away from thing prior to competition."

"I took a year off from competing and went back to college at SAIT in Calgary, AB. I thought that if I was going to be serious about competing I needed to learn more about nutrition and how the body functions. That was one of the best decisions of my life. The light that program shed on nutrition was amazing!

Upon graduating from the program, I couldn’t wait to compete again. There was one underlying problem. I had a great understanding of what healthy nutrition was so it definitely didn’t seem practical to me to do another ketosis diet for my next competition. That is when it was my good fortune of hearing about and meeting Dr. Joe Klemczewski at a local workshop where I now live. I learned from him that I could not only diet for competition without sacrificing carbohydrates, energy, or water, but I would look even better on stage because of it! Now talk about speaking my kind of language! I hired Dr. Joe immediately for his Perfect Peaking Program and within two months I was being handed a Double Pro-Card victory in only my second bodybuilding competition! "

Rozanne Pyper zoom

"I went on from there with further competitions and now find myself the owner of a Diet Doc Franchise because I want to offer my clients the same kinds of opportunities that were given to me. I know first hand that the delivery system and the science behind any Diet Doc Program work. "

"I’ve had great mentors and coaches along the way including Dr. Joe Klemczewski, Nadine Dumas, International Swimsuit Model and INBF Best Body Champion, Mathew Park, President of INBF Canada, Peak Training Mindset Specialist and WNBF Bodybuilding Pro, my Mom, husband and Step –Mom. Their knowledge, guidance and support have been the building blocks in the foundation of my health and fitness journey. It’s now my goal to pass along my knowledge and help others obtain their goals."
